Entries Open for European Enterprise Promotion Awards

The European Enterprise Promotion Awards (EEPA) is an initiative of the European Commission, promoted in the 27 Member States of the European Union, in the associated countries in the Cosme Programme and in the United Kingdom.

This initiative aims to award outstanding examples of support and promotion of entrepreneurship in various areas, according to the specific nature of their contribution to development, economic growth and job promotion.

Eligible entities include national organisations, municipalities, cities, regions and communities, as well as public-private partnerships between public entities and entrepreneurs, educational programs and business organisations.

IAPMEI has been the national coordinator for this European Commission initiative since the first edition in 2006. Portugal has been playing a leading role in this competition with several Portuguese projects awarded throughout these 14 years.

There are six award categories:

• Promoting the entrepreneurial spirit
• Investing in entrepreneurial skills 
• Improving the business environment and supporting the digital transition
• Supporting the internationalisation of business
• Supporting the sustainable transition 
• Responsible and inclusive entrepreneurship
